President Assad meets with a number of members of the Syrian community residing in China

In the capital Beijing, the first stop for President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad today was a meeting with a number of members of the Syrian community residing in China. The meeting was an opportunity to talk about the homeland and the role of the community towards it in the next stage, about the relationship with China and how Syrians contribute to strengthening it and its fields, and about the unique Chinese experience that has placed China at the forefront of the world’s countries, and how we can benefit and learn from it.

President al-Assad describes the Syrian communities as the human, social and intellectual bridge between Syria and the rest of the world and emphasizes the importance of their role in building relations that unite Syria with those countries.

President al-Assad and the First Lady talk in their dialogue with members of the community about the great transformation that China has witnessed in recent decades, based on values ​​and authenticity and an identity rooted in history, and relying on constant knowledge and work, and discipline in all aspects of life. In addition to China’s modesty in its relationship with the countries of the world, unlike the West, which only looks at others according to its goals and interests, far from principles and morals.

Therefore, the horizon of the relationship between Syria and China is an open and broad horizon because it is based on principles.

During their meeting with members of the community, President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad listen to new ideas, proposals and opinions on Syrian-Chinese cooperation in the scientific, research, medical and technological fields, brought by members of the community who came from different Chinese cities, practicing various scientific and professional work and specializations. Among them are university professors, researchers, doctors, teachers, journalists and economic activists, all of whom have achieved success while residing in China and always looking forward to serving and benefiting their homeland, Syria.
